Can you believe we have 13 weekends until Christmas is here!? It’s time for us to jump into how we’re going to photograph this season for your families! Each year I have offered styled studio Christmas sessions and this year will be no different. There will be two lovely set ups in the studio this year. Below you can see what the past few years have looked like. You can expect a similar classic and festive set up this year as well.
Booking A Studio Christmas Mini Session
This years studio sessions will be held on November 9th. They are 20 minutes, $350 and include all of the digital images included in your final gallery. Select your time here and keep in mind your session time slot is finalized once you pay your retainer and sign the agreement.
Another Way To Photograph Your Family This Holiday Season
I am also offering “Home For The Holidays” session this year! Part of my personal favorite Christmas decor is a framed portrait of my children in Christmas pjs decorating cookies together. Each year I look forward to setting out that photo and after photographing newborn sessions in clients homes I’ve realized there’s a little extra magic and connection that happens with families at home. I can’t think of a better way to capture the magic of the holiday season than a lifestyle session at home.
Possible ideas for these sessions are:
- Baking as a family
- Making hot cocoa
- Decorating the tree
- Wrapping presents
- Reading your favorite books
- Having a dance party in your pjs
- A combination of the activities above
I have added a number of dates to the calendar for this but will only be taking a handful of families for these sessions. Once I’ve booked the first five families I will remove the extra dates. Sessions will be 40 minutes and $450. You will receive all of the images in your online gallery from this session. Choose the best date for your family here.
FAQs:
- What should we wear? Dress up in classic holiday attire or your favorite matching family pjs. One of my favorite shops for classic christmas pjs is petite ploom!
- What happens if we’re late to our mini session? PLEASE arrive early. Because these sessions are back to back if you are not on time it will cut into your session shooting time. Arriving early also helps you brush hair, get into your outfits, and just gives you breathing room for more calm photos resulting in better portraits!
- How long will it take to get my gallery back? I know many of you will want to use these photos for Christmas cards. The turn around time with be 1 week from your session date!
- Do you provide the items for the in-home sessions? We will work together to customize these sessions to your individual family. Due to so many food restrictions and allergies I am asking families to provide backing materials, hot cocoa, etc.
